Join us for a hands-on, creative journey as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary through art, music, history and performance!
Over six exciting weeks, children 6-12 will explore American traditions and culture while building skills, confidence and performance!
What kids will experience:
Paint their own American flag artwork
Learn the proper way to fold a flag
Create a collaborative quilt mural
Learn line dancing and traditional folk songs
Enjoy live demonstrations of the autoharp and dulcimer
Experience storytelling from The Old Woman from the Mountains
Meet a special historical guest: Daniel Boone
For the Grand Finale, the kids will showcase their work in a public art exhibit and perform their dance and music live for family and the community.
Dates: April 11, 18 & 25 and May 2, 9 and 16 from 1:00-2:30 with the exhibit/performance on May 16 from 3-5 pm.
